Childhood Years

Born in 1925 in Rochester Minnesota, Bill was the youngest of three children born to Porter Paisley Vinson and Lenore Dunlap Vinson.

Bill's Earliest Memories

  • Bill's earliest memory is from when he was 7 or 8 years old.  He remembers going to the movie theater to see Tom Mix, a popular  western movie star, in person.  He remembers feeling disappointed because Tom Mix did not ride out on his horse or perform any exciting stunts.
