Family House

Click below to watch a video clip of Mary Ann speaking about the history behind her paternal grandparents’ house, which is still frequently used by her family today.  This clip was filmed on a rainy November, 2011, day in Lenoir, NC.

A family tree was painted on the inside porch of the house by one of Mary Ann’s relatives.  Every time new members are added to the family, an apple with their name is painted on the tree.  As you can see, the family has grown quite large!
